Stamp Out Bullying’ is an initiative started by Christopher Boyd at Glass Media Group on the Gold Coast, Queensland. After attending a PCYC breakfast and through association with Michael Crandon MP Member for Coomera, Christopher discovered that there is was a problem with effective communication around key issues facing the community and that Glass Media Group could help. The original concept was to produce a series of local public service announcements to be aired on regional Gold Coast television, highlighting and drawing awareness to bullying in schools on the Gold Coast.

Realising the enormity of the subject matter, Christopher decided to get vital input from sources much closer to the issue. A partnership was formed with TAFE Gold Coast and the screen and media students attending the Coomera Campus who wrote and co-produced the initial series of Public Service Announcements for the campaign.

Bullying is a very large issues at schools and in workplaces throughout Australia. The Stamp Out Bullying campaign is hard-hitting and features actual stories and real life statistics in short sharp commercials for use in television broadcast, social media platforms and live events.
Stamp Out Bullying is the first step in what is going to be an on going program to enable local film/ media students at tertiary and high school levels to get involved in producing media content under professional guidance that is beneficial to the community. Media content that is all about awareness and information.

This campaign and the others to come via the program, will provide a very effective industry link for students studying media production. The projects will give the students much sort after credits for their future career prospects and also enable mentoring opportunities between the tertiary and high school students.

The three TVC’s in the campaign are currently airing on regional television and will begin metropolitan airtime in late November 2017.
